Radon Examination
Reasons for a radon examination
Experience with comparable cases of other environmental toxins or pollution (e.g. contaminated sites, asbestos) shows that for the contracting parties considerable liability risks may arise.
To clarify the risk situation it is advisable, at least for transactions in areas which are known for their radon exposure, to ask for a relevant expert opinion on the radon exposure.
With regard to the transaction value this may be done by expert consultants at minimal costs, thus considerably serving the capital protection of the client.
Volume and Concept of a Radon Examination
The aim of the radon examination is the appraisal of the redevelopment need or possible restrictions of utilisation as a result of the radon exposure.
After the measurements have been carried out, our consultants will show you low-cost and effective ways for the reduction of radon concentration in the indoor air.
It is not possible to project from single values to other building exposures; in any case, a complete expert assessment and at least a rough measurement of all buildings in a specific area has to take place.
Fact is: No two buildings are alike!
Even directly neighbouring buildings may show different values of contamination up to high two-digit factor levels! Therefore, every measured value needs to be reviewed by an expert.
